He likes to say, "God has called us to feed sheep, not giraffes." One has remarked, "John puts the cookies on the lower shelf where all can reach them." Unfortunately, this has a down side. No one will read Studies in Galatians and say, "I do not know what he meant." The reader will clearly understand what the author means and will either love it or strongly disagree. Studies in Galations is a compilation of several articles John wrote for the Sound of Grace publication, 28 if I recall correctly. This study of Galations not only clearly shows Christ as the focal point of all redemptive history, it also is very useful for understanding the work of the Holy Spirit in the sanctification process and does an excellent job of explaining the use of the Old Covenant in light of the New Covenant. For anyone who wants a better understanding, and appreciation, of how great a salvation we have in Jesus and how blessed we are to be living under the New Covenant, this book is a must read.
